I think there is already an opportunity here, and we just need to grasp it, is -- whatever this Inquiry kind of throws up as a new body, I believe that there is a willingness in the digital world amongst Internet news providers to themselves sign up to some kind of framework because it gives them, frankly, cachet.
In the world of the Internet, there is just a lot of noise, and what the consumers are seeking and business is seeking is some kind of order, and I think that legitimate bloggers, legitimate Internet news providers would welcome the opportunity to join such a body, to be kite-marked or branded in some kind of way, because it would have a direct effect on their businesses.
At the moment, Google does actually select, with one of its magical algorithms, the order in which results are thrown up, so if you were to Google "Leveson Inquiry", it would obviously go to the website but on the news function it would throw up stories from newspapers, because they are regarded by the algorithm as the most reliable, and there is a grade of 1 to 10. BBC is the highest in this country with number 9, ie. this is premium content, reliability. I think we're at 7, along with most national papers. In the US, it's the New York Times.
So there is a kind of gradient in existence, and as I said -- we've had 15 years, 20 years of disruption with technology, and we're now trying to seek some order, and I think actually this could be a great positive for this process, is to start to harness some of the content that is online.
