No. I think I'm anticipating your next question: should there be a note? No, I don't think so. Part of our democracy, I think, is the free flow of information between politicians and those who can deliver the messages and argue the points and have differing opinions, and I think that free flow has to be maintained and to formalise every meeting that a politician would have with a journalist would, I think, be too much. I think it would really damage the abilities for a cabinet minister to sit down in a quiet corner and just run ideas. It's often the case: "What do you think of this? We're thinking about doing that."
