I would note there's been a tremendous amount of scholarship that's come out of their database. They recently submitted an Amicus brief in a case and the brief was basically a three-page string citation to different academic articles written using their information.

One that may be relevant here, this was years ago, a couple of outside scholars looked at -- it was actually Google's copyright removals, but this observation would apply to other kinds as well, you know, looking at the copies of letters that were on Chilling Effect, and they concluded that over 30 per cent of the letters received and processed were from competitors trying to use the law as an excuse to take down each other's websites.

So they're documenting both totally legitimate uses of the law to remove things from search and also ways in which the law can be abused as an excuse to try to take down lawful speech.
