There's two aspects to that. One is did any of the regulatory bodies like Her Majesty's Inspector of Constabulary come to me and say, "Look, there's something wrong here with the way the Met's handling this" or something, and the answer to that is no, not to my knowledge did anybody come and say that.

The second, was it never raised by anybody at News International in any of the interactions I had with them either through formal scheduled meetings or otherwise, and the answer to that is no as well. I can genuinely say I cannot recall anybody, even, you know, a reporter you might meet in a corridor in the House of Commons, while I was Home Secretary, or indeed afterwards, having said to me anything about this issue.
