I think it is perfectly possible that on the evening of 9 August when we were dealing with Operation Overt the following day, perfectly possible I had a conversation with him, as he said, on the margins, as he said, of little significance other than to indicate I knew the broad nature of the case against Mulcaire and Goodman, everything written by that time through the media knew the broad case, and therefore he has assumed -- he knew there was a note sent to the Home Office because somebody had tried to have it cleared with him, and he's assumed that the questions I asked him were on the basis of that note rather than what I heard in the media and the conversation with the Commissioner.
